FAQs: Some questions you might have

Guide

Where possible we try to visit the places we feature, but with the pandemic and shifts in the travel industry we’ve had to rely more on recommendations, our research, and talking to space/business owners themselves.

We’re also aware of adding to the environmental footprint by traveling to places ourselves. That’s why we encourage our readers /audience to submit places that are local to them, that they know well, and that fit within our guidelines.

That’s our ideal way of growing this platform: with you involved and each of us shining a light on the projects in our communities that matter to us as individuals and help our collective emotional, mental, and physical well-being.

Sometimes places close, shift online, go back offline, adapt their mission, change how they deliver it, and even how well they do so. This guide is designed to help you seek out places, ideas, and initiatives to support you, but we suggest you double-check IRL aspects, including opening hours and addresses before you visit.

And let us know if your experience of a place isn’t what it could be (we’re open to feedback and shifting our guidebook accordingly).

How can I get my place featured?

Coaching

What happens in a coaching session with Claire?

Typically coaching starts with an initial call so that you can meet with one another, discuss your needs and figure out how you can best work together. (Claire also offers one-off sessions, where you don’t need to have this initial consult and you can book these online).

After that conversation, Claire will send you a booking link where you can choose 3 or 6 sessions over a 3-month period. Once you’ve booked your first session, Claire will send you a contract and a link to book the other sessions at a time that works for you.

Your sessions will be mostly over Zoom. If you live in the Bath area, you can discuss the possibility of in-person sessions.

The Find Your Way Reset

Do I have to stop my life for 12 weeks to join?

No. We’re all about figuring out how to feel better within your everyday life rather than waiting until you have days free / can go on a retreat / or abandon everything to follow your healing journey.

The course is self-paced; you choose when and how you show up. Each cohort will start together and then you’ll receive weekly lessons and the workbook (plus some fun extras) so that you choose how much time you want to allocate and the speed at which you go. There’s no falling behind, and no judgment about how much or how little you do.

How long does it take?

You can take this course at your own pace - you’ll get access to the materials for 6 months (and you have the option to extend this if you need more time).

What kind of support will I have?

For the Self-Guided version of the course, you’ll get complimentary access to our Member’s Community The Collective Together for six months as well. You can also choose to add 1:1 support when you purchase the course or you can add this in anytime you need it.

Why US spellings?

If Lost was founded by the two of us in California. When Claire moved to the UK, we kept American English to make things easier. We know sometimes for British English audiences this can get confusing, but we had to pick one so that it wouldn’t get even more so.

Why US/UK references?

As our audience has stretched to both the US and UK (and now beyond - hi everyone across all the different countries that now reach out to us), we’ve tried to expand our references as well. When you find gaps let us know how you suggest we fill them. We believe in collective support (as opposed to just self-help) so let us know what you’re discovering where you are so we can share it with our community.
